The perks of having a dad who hunts. Elk casserole. Elk's usually not my favorite as I find it a bit dry but when it's cooked in a clay pot with carrots, onion, apples, cream and what ever else dad puts in there it's (in my opinion) perfect. Dad's been making casterols out of the elk's he's shoot as long as I can remember and it's one of those dishes that never seems to taste as good when someone else makes it.
